Inspect propellers, propulsion system or underside of hull<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are various systems for inspecting the underside of the hull, or anything else underwater. Sometimes you\u2019ve hooked the bottom, or you suspect a malfunction.<\/p>\n

Here are a few gadgets to help you make a diagnosis:<\/p>\n

You can even have a mini scuba tank to do it yourself, but only for about 10 minutes of autonomy and always under a maximum depth of 10 feet.<\/p>\n

This is the LUNG system (above), but there are also SCOREL, SCORKL, SMACO and MINIDRIVE brands.<\/p>\n

But this little scuba tank is not recommended as a recreational diving accessory. Autonomy is very relative, the gauge that indicates the state of the tank is difficult to read and filling is, shall we say, rudimentary.<\/p>\n

The Gladius mini drone is also excellent for observing what\u2019s under the boat, especially if it\u2019s connected by a wire (less expensive).<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a mini camera at the end of a DEPSTECH wire, simple, rudimentary and very inexpensive. What\u2019s more, it can be used inside the boat, in the hold for example, to gain access to difficult places.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re all on sale in various boat shops, and you can also check the Amazon.ca website for price references. We suggest, however, that you buy local for advice and service.<\/p>\n
