WHAT IS THE MARKET VALUE OF MY BOAT ?

This is the question many boaters ask themselves when the time comes to sell.

It has to be said that there is little reference on the market for a boater to effectively and realistically determine the value of his or her boat.

We’ve written a comprehensive article on all the factors you need to consider when valuing your boat (see link below).

Of course, boaters also like to consider additions made to the boat, but you have to be careful about trying to account for everything.

The level of maintenance, ideally supported by invoices, also influences the value of the boat.

Other factors such as the age of the batteries, the age of the canvas and the last wax/compound also have an influence.

But above all, the perception of boat buyers is important. The reputation of the manufacturer, the options on board – in short, many factors that are sometimes intangible and difficult to measure.

But an independent broker can easily help you in this evaluation process, especially those who have access to sales made on the great YACHTWORLD website. In fact, the latter makes available to member brokers only, all sales made (with asking price and selling price) by date for a specific model.
